Refund Policy

1. 30-day money-back guarantee
Coastal Companion (operated by Coastal Companion LLC, a Michigan limited liability company) offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the original order date. This applies to first-time purchases and first renewals; later renewals may be refunded on a case-by-case basis where required by law.
2. How to request a refund
Our payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. The fastest way to request a refund is through Paddle's buyer portal at paddle.net using the email address you used at checkout. You can also reach us through our Contact page and we will help you start the refund with Paddle.
Once approved, refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and typically take 5–10 business days to appear.
3. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own refund policy is available at paddle.com/legal/refund-policy.
4. Subscription cancellations
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your Profile in the app or through Paddle's buyer portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to premium features through the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancellation by itself is not a refund — to request money back, follow the steps in Section 2.
5. Marketplace transactions
Coastal Companion does not sell items in the in-app marketplace and is not a party to listings, messages, or transactions between users. This refund policy covers Coastal Companion subscription purchases only.
6. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (including, where applicable, the EU/UK statutory withdrawal right for consumer purchases).
